I was heartbroken to hear the news of the untimely death of Steve Jobs. I haven't been affected this deeply by the death of a public figure since my working class hero John Lennon was gunned down on the streets of New York City in 1980. Here's a video that some Apple employees created almost 30 years ago as a gift to their boss, colleague, and friend Steve Jobs on his 30th birthday. We have lost a true visionary, in a time of our history when true visionaries are in short supply. Godspeed, Steve Jobs -- your spirit lives on in the products you helped create, and in the millions of people around the world whose lives have been touched and made better by them.
To Steven Jobs
on his thirtieth birthday.
For the first thirty years of your life,
you make your habits.
For the last thirty years of your life,
your habits make you.
Thank you for sharing this with us Peter. Dylan in the background fit this tribute so well. Hard to believe he was just 30 when this was made.
You're quite welcome, Jennifer! I'm a big fan of Steve Jobs, and I will miss him.
